Specialist Programs

Appalachian State University has a long tradition of providing advanced education opportunities. The Reich College of Education is justly proud of the record it has in providing professional development opportunities through graduate study. The college and the university offer a variety of graduate offerings appropriate for people seeking advanced preparation. The college offers both full-time and part-time graduate programs; opportunities for access to off-campus graduate programs are numerous.

This page contains links to general Appalachian information as well as links to specific graduate information and related sites of interest. Note: information on graduate degree programs in secondary education fields (i.e., English, history) or K-12 teaching fields (i.e., music) can be accessed by going to the Appalachian homepage. These degree programs are housed in academic departments outside the Reich College of Education, but include some coursework in education.

Application Procedure

The Reich College of Education does not directly admit graduate students into its programs. Instead, the graduate school handles all admission requirements and only once admitted, may the student take classes offered by the College of Education.

Applications to all ASU graduate programs are made through the Cratis Williams Graduate School.
