Undergraduate Admissions
Appalachian State University has a long tradition of preparing teachers. The Reich College of Education is justly proud of the record it has in having the largest undergraduate teacher preparation program in North Carolina. The college is consistently ranked near or at the top of all programs preparing teachers in the state and offers a wide variety of teacher education programs.

Application Procedure
Important Notice: The College of Education is currently upgrading the admission application to an online format. Until then, please download the application form, complete it, and return it to the Dean's Office.
- Complete the Speech Proficiency Prerequisite
- Download and complete the RCOE Admissions Application
- Submit the completed application and requested information to the Office of the Dean, 220 Duncan Hall.
Incomplete applications will be returned to the student's ASU post office box.
Application Deadlines:
Completed application (including Praxis scores) must be received by:
- For Fall Semester: August 1
- For Spring Semester: December 1
- For Summer Sessions: May 1
